Hello, My name is Demi. I am a Timneh Grey and in my mid to late 20′. I need a confident home, probably with a female fosterer, but may accept a male in time too.
I am a cheeky chap and my confidence has really grown since being here. My safehouse mum say’s I just need more time to bring out my true character. I Love chewing toys, hiding under the newspaper at the bottom of the cage and shredding it. I am a quiet bird but do say hello and make ooo noises for my fruit and veg breakfast. I will come over for a chat and a bit of excitable head bobbing dance, and some head scratches through the cage bars. However, I am not comfortable being touched when I am loose yet, although given more time I may come round to enjoying cuddles.
I need a patient home with experience of TAG’s as I have a tendency to nip and will catch you off guard or give a false sense of security. Just a typical TAG really! I don’t often fly, but it is nice to spread my wings every now and then, and I can fly when I want to – usually when its bed time and I don’t want to go back hee hee ! My new home needs to be patient with me and help me establish a routine.
I have lived with other birds for many years so a birdy companion would be ideal, I haven’t been loose with other birds in my safehouse yet. There are dogs here, I am not bothered by them, as they are calm and don’t show much interest. I have not been around young children, so a home with older children, or no children would be better.
I am a little sweetie with an attitude and will be worth the time that someone is prepared to give me. I have shown so much improvement in just the 6 weeks that I have been here.
