Hello, friends! I’m Ozzie, and I’m not just your average bird; I’m a handsome Orange-Winged Amazon with a young spirit at 28+ years. I come with my very own cage and toys, but hey, feel free to spoil me some more – I won’t say no to extra goodies.
I might not be a world-class singer, but I can whistle a catchy tune and say hello. I adore the movie Rio, and my favourite thing is to watch it with my humans and sing along. But it things are getting a bit too noisy I might chime in with a curious “What’s happening?”
I’m an adventurous eater, and I’ll give most things a try. But here’s the catch: I prefer to eat when you do. I want to be part of the family mealtime, and if I don’t get my way, I might get a bit noisy. So, don’t leave me out; I’ll be the perfect dinner companion.
When my “parronts” are at home, they kindly open my cage door, giving me the freedom to come and go as I please.
I might not be the tamest of birds, but I am a people loving parrot. I love having visitors, especially teenagers. I could talk to them all day long, When I get to know you I may even let you give me some tickles.
When it’s a sunny day or you’re doing some cleaning with the vacuum, I love to bathe in my water bowl. A mist spray is another favourite of mine, but don’t stop until I’m ready or I’m back in the bowl. Oh, and I’ll be watching as you clean up after me too, just to make sure you do a good job!
I currently live with a dog, but I must admit, I love to scare the poor pup with my loud noises. It’s quite funny when he scampers away, though I don’t think he appreciates my sense of humour. That’s one of the reasons I’m on the lookout for a new home.
So what type of home would suit me best? A busy social home, preferably with teenagers I can be noisy, sing and dance with. I’m ready to be your forever friend; are you ready to give me a new home and become a part of my colourful world?
