Sponsor a Bird

Many of our birds come in with severe injuries, illnesses or disabilites. Many will need long term care. Donating either as a one off or on a regular basis will help improve these birds lives. Thank you.

  1. Kuku, African Grey Parrot, with collar to prevent plucking

    Sponsor Kuku

Kuku has long term problems caused by the trauma she suffered early in life. The family she originally came from were not deliberately cruel, but they didn't know how to provide the exotic flock creature the lifestyle needed to keep her healthy and happy. She came to Birdline when they finally realised she deserved a better life then they could offer. Sadly dozens of birds like Kuku are admitted into Birdline every year.

Peeko came to Birdline with a broken leg. His previous owner had taken him to a vet who told her there was nothing that could be done for him and advised putting Peeko to sleep. This is just one example of why it is essential that you always take your parrot to a specialist Avian vet....

Rani was sadly handed into birdline when her owner’s decline in health meant she was no longer able to look after her. She is a feisty little lady, whose name means Queen, and she really does live up to expectations, being imperious at times! She has really blossomed whilst living with her new foster mummy. However, she does have some long term health problems and needs your support.
