Hi! I’m Charlie a stunning 20-year young Umbrella Cockatoo.
I’m looking for a new mum or dad through no fault of my own. I’m a very happy lively boy, with a wide vocabulary who loves to sing along to music. It doesn’t matter if I don’t know the words, I will just make them up! I even head bang to my foster mum’s metal music which she finds hilarious.
I need my new foster parent to be home most of the time but I don’t mind chilling by myself for a few hours if I have plenty of toys to keep me occupied. Beware, I am a master engineer and will dismantle my cage very quickly if I’m not kept entertained!
I am a very loving boy and like nothing better than to cuddle with my human. Like most cockatoo’s I am prone to hormonal periods where my behaviour becomes more challenging. In general, though I am a very happy boy and can be gregarious in company, although I will scream if I think I’m not the centre of attention.
I’m not a fan of other birds or children, as I don’t like to share my person. But I am equally happy in male or female orientated homes. It’s just better for me if that person is single so I can have all their attention.
If you can give me a good home, I will reward you with oodles of love and affection and make you laugh with my antics. Can you be that person?
